A bike move in Bangalore almost always falls into one of three kinds, and they are priced and planned differently. The first is a move within the city, from one area to another, for someone who cannot or would rather not ride across town. The second is a move out of Bangalore, where the bike goes to another city or state on a carrier. The third is a bike that travels with a household move, on the same vehicle as the furniture and cartons. Most of the questions people ask us are really a question about which of the three they are booking.
A move inside the city is the simplest. The bike is collected from your address, stands upright on a vehicle tied at the frame, and is delivered to the new one. It is priced in a band of Rs 2,500 to Rs 5,500, and what moves it within the band is access: a scooter at a ground floor gate is quick, a motorcycle brought up from a tower basement or walked out of a narrow lane takes longer. Plenty of people simply ride the bike themselves on a short hop, and that is a perfectly reasonable choice. The job is for when that is not practical, because nobody in the house can ride it, the owner has already left, or the distance is long enough that the odometer and the traffic matter.
A move out of Bangalore adds distance to the same collection. The bike still travels on a vehicle, never on its own wheels, and the charge for the route is added to the collection and confirmed in writing before you book. This is the job behind most of our bike enquiries: someone leaving for a new job, going home after studying here, or sending a bike to family. The papers matter more on this kind of move, and so does timing it around the owner's own travel.
A bike with a household move is usually the cheapest way to send it anywhere, because the vehicle is already making the trip. If you are moving house within Bangalore or out of it, mention the bike when you book the household and it is planned into the load, standing in its own space and kept clear of the cartons.

Scooters and scooties are the most common two wheelers we move in Bangalore, and they get the same treatment as a motorcycle: carried upright, tied at the frame, with the plastic panels covered before any strap is put on. Panels are the part that marks most easily and costs most to replace, so that step is never skipped.
The storage space under the seat is worth clearing before collection. Things left there shift around in transit, and on a trip out of the city it is easy to lose a spare key or a set of papers that way.
EV Scooter Shifting in Bangalore
Electric scooters are a growing share of Bangalore's two wheelers, and we move them with their batteries. EVs differ a lot from model to model. Some have a battery that lifts out, some have one built into the frame, and some owners have had one replaced. At booking, tell us the make and model and anything unusual about the battery, and the loading is planned around it.
The charger does not travel on the scooter. Pack it yourself, labelled. If the scooter is moving within Bangalore, check the new building's rules about charging before delivery day, since many societies have them.
Two Wheeler Transport from Bangalore to Other Cities
Bikes leave Bangalore for every direction, but the busiest routes are the neighbouring states and the other southern metros: Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, and the towns across Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and the rest of Karnataka. Longer runs go further north. Each is priced on the distance band and written down before you book, together with the collection from your address.
For a bike crossing into another state, keep the original RC with you and send photocopies of the RC, the insurance and your photo ID with the bike. If the bike is registered to someone else, or is still on a loan, tell us when you book. Re-registration in the new state is yours to arrange once you arrive.

Getting a Bike Ready to Move in Bangalore
Decide which of the three moves you need before you call. Within the city, out of the city, or with the household. Each has a different price and a different plan, and knowing which one it is lets us give you a firm figure on the first call.
Think about access at both ends. A basement, a lane a truck cannot enter or a building with fixed loading hours all change how collection or delivery works, and they are much easier to plan for than to discover on the day.

Before Your Bike Is Collected in Bangalore
Fuel
Ride the tank down to reserve in the days before collection. A small amount is fine; a full tank is not wanted on a loaded vehicle.
Papers
Photocopies of the RC, the insurance policy and your photo ID travel with the bike. Keep the originals, especially the RC, with you. If the RC is not in your name, mention it when you book.
Condition record
Photograph the bike from every side and at the odometer. The crew also notes its condition at pickup, and you keep a copy of that note.
Insurance

Check the bike against the pickup note and your photographs before signing, and point out anything new while the crew is still there.
Handover

What a Bike Move Does Not Include
- We do not ride your bike to the new address. It travels on a vehicle, standing upright and strapped at the frame.
- Ride the tank down to reserve before pickup. A near empty tank is safer on a loaded vehicle.
- We do not repair, service or start a bike that will not start. Tell us at booking so it is loaded the right way.
- Helmets, jackets and tools travel in a carton or with you, never strapped to the bike.
- RC transfer, address change and re-registration in a new state are yours to do, or an agent's.
