Tell the other flats which day and roughly which hours, a few days beforehand rather than the night before. Ask the ground floor whether the entrance can stay clear. If somebody parks where the vehicle needs to stand, that conversation goes far better before their vehicle is there than after. Check the staircase width at the turn before you commit to a large piece of furniture. Builder floor staircases are built to a minimum and the landing turn is usually the tightest point in the whole building. A three door wardrobe that came up in pieces on the day the flat was furnished will not come down assembled, and discovering it with a crew waiting is the expensive version. Agree the water tank and the meter reading with the owner before moving day, not after. In a building with no association these are settled person to person, and the person you need is usually the one who stops answering the phone once you have left.
